Motocross rider dies, another injured after falling from cliff in Chiang Mai

A motocross rider died and another was severely injured after driving off a cliff in Chiang Mai and falling greater than 50 metres. The two were on a motocross journey from Bangkok to Chiang Mai and had been driving near the scenic village Mae Kampong and up to a mountain viewpoint after they fell from the cliff.
More were going as a lot as the Kew Fin viewpoint once they disappeared. A report in Thai media does not say how many people have been driving together up to the point of view, but says their pals were looking for the 2 riders and asking locals dwelling in Mae Kampong.
One resident told the chums an electric wire at a cliff was broken, adding that the riders might have fallen there. A rescue group searched the realm and located a Honda CRF nearby. Rescuers rappelled down the cliff and located the two riders. One rider had died within the incident and the body was despatched to the Maeon Hospital in Chiang Mai for a postmortem examination.
